I wanted to
make a beach Thranduil cosplay for the
BeachYukicon- event that was held on July
5th 2014.
My original
design was to make an old timey stripy swimsuit, but then I found a silver
tunic in my wardrobe that I had hardly ever used because it didn’t really suit
my tastes and decided to use it instead.
After all, silver is Thranduils color.

The idea
was to use the same kind of lines and cuts Thranduil had on his original
outfit. Since I didn’t want to start cutting the tunic too much, as it did
unravel quite easily, I just took it in where I wanted to have the line and
secured it with sewing. Simple and easy.

I finished
it just a day before the event and then - - I overslept on the event day and
woke up late in the evening! Just my luck. Honestly.
Oh well,
these things happen. Atleast I’ve now got a cool silver tunic to use~
